The wild, 80s pastiche, punk/glam/disco outfit have already established a loyal following in Scandinavia and a growing UK audience in the wake of the April release of their debut album and subsequent high-energy live shows. An extactic review by Kerrang Magazine simply stated that “Surferosa are poised to rule the world!”
A June tour to Japan went down well as Surferosa left behind a dedicated audience sold by the extrovert stage antics and infectious tunes.
Next up on the Surferosa itinerary is a support slot for the Killers on their upcoming US/Canadian tour in October. Surferosa are also to play three gigs as headliners and will also do two showcases. Surferosa supported the Killers on a two week UK tour in June to great critical acclaim.
The band’s live performances are of a legendary calibre; a solid unit of guitars, drums and bass back up vocalist Mariann’s wild and gymnastic stage antics. The hard-hitting tunes are inflicted with a healthy dose of 80s synth-pop, punk ethics and various vintage DDR-inspired gym-suits. Not to be missed!
