Healthy July sales

A solid growth in digital downloads results in positive sales figures on the domestic market in July.

      The latest sales figures from IFPI Norway, including physical and digital units, indicate a 7% increase in music sales on the domestic market in July 2010.

      The number of physical units shifted are down 12% compared to July 2009, while sales of digital downloads rose with a whopping 82% in the same time frame.

      Total accumulated sales in 2010 amount to 2,97m physical units resulting in a NOK 170m turnover. Digital downloads and revenue from streaming services amount to a NOK 72m turnover.

      This represents a loss of 14% in value so far this year.
