Knut Riisnæs - Touching cover

On his latest album Riisnæs, a true veteran on the Norwegian jazz scene, presents his new quartet. The band is made up of members with equal veteran status: pianist Dag Arnesen, bassist Terje Gewelt and drummer Frank Jakobsen boast a combined resume that literally reads as a who’s who in Norwegian (and European) jazz. On this album they swing through the band members own compositions as well as interpretations of good old standards. Their combined experience, maturity and confidence are all qualities that are found in rich quantities on Touching, leaving us with a wholesome and rewarding album.
