Sondre Lerche fists

The wunderkid of Norwegian pop is here with his debut album. This fresh-faced super-talent just out of his teens has come up with a set of tunes that displays a musical maturity usually reserved those many years his senior. With assistance from older mentors like Bergen’s new super-producer Jørgen Træen and High Lamas’ Sean O’Hagan Lerche has delivered an album that has stunned reviewers and audience alike. To make an impact in Sondre’s chosen genre, it’s imperative to have full understanding and complete mastery of the Art of the Simple-But-Catchy melody. Sondre Lerche has already proved that he can be up there with the best of them.

Lerche is currently focussing on the North American market, and has already gained very favourable reviews in publications such as Rolling Stone and New York Press . Lerche has also done acclaimed club-gigs and been featured on radio. His Faces Down album was released in mid-September on Virgin subsidiary Astralwerks.

Lerche is now putting the finishing touches to his second album which is also co-produced byJørgen Træen. The album has been tentatively titled "I dreamt I were you, Scooby Doo" and will be released in Norway in the first half of 2003.
