Music sales continue its downward spiral on the domestic market in April.
The latest sales figures from IFPI Norway, including physical and digital units, indicate an 18% drop in music sales on the domestic market in April 2010.
The number of physical units shifted are down 35% compared to April 2009, while sales of digital downloads rose with 49% in the same time frame.
Total accumulated sales in 2010 amount to 1,4m physical units resulting in a NOK 81m turnover. Digital downloads and revenue from streaming services amount to a NOK 40,5m turnover.
This represents a loss of 16% in value so far this year.
