Stable phonogram sales

Phonogram sales remain stable on the domestic market.

The latest sales figures from the Association of Norwegian Record Distributors show that sales of CD albums last month remained stable compared to May last year.

Compared to May last year, total sales of phonograms are down 2% in volume and up 4% in value.

CD albums are up 3% in volume 6% in value compared to last year.

Sales of singles are down 30% in volume and 39% in value compared to May last year.

Sales of DVD music releases are down 3% in volume and 10% in value.

Total accumulated sales so far this year are 3,6m albums, 193 000 singles and 84 000 music DVDs amounting to a total revenue of NOK 248m ($ 38,1/€ 31,6). This is a reduction of 19% in volume and 16% in value compared to last year.
